Introduced in the late 1980s, the British DPM Desert camouflage is one of the best known and recognisable camo patterns worldwide. Being used by a number of armies across the globe, particularly in the former British colonies, its 4-colour version has been initially adopted by the British Army for its range of combat uniforms, field jackets and parkas, as well as for webbing, packs and rucksacks, and then replaced with a 2-colour version by 1990. In general desert edition of the DPM camo (short from the 'Disruptive Pattern Material') looks similar to its woodland predecessor when it comes to layout and shape of the spots and blobs but it consists of tame sand and khaki shades, being very effective in the most of dry and arid environments. Moreover, most of the current DPM desert equipment is IRR coated, which reduces the visibility of soldiers to night vision devices as trees, and other green plants reflect deep red and infra-red light. For all its customers, Airsoft, Hunting and Paintball enthusiasts, Military 1st offers broad range of clothing and accessories in this characteristic camouflage, including assortment of quality webbing, combat shirts and cargo trousers, caps, hats and accessories as well as sleeping gear and rucksacks (including these with Infra-red Reflective coating) from such renowned brands as Pro-Force, Mil-Com and Viper.
